Saturday 27th April, 2pm - 4.30pm
Saturday 25th May, 2pm - 4.30pm
Saturday 22nd June, 2pm - 4.30pm

This is an ideal workshop to learn simple lino printing techniques to create your own unique design from a lino block.  It is suitable for those aged 14 years and above, from beginners to those with experience and wanting a refresher!  Come along, be creative and have fun with like-minded people.

You will leave the workshop with your own original print, which is ready for mounting and framing and a selection of cards. You will also take your lino block away with you, so you can continue to experiment and print at home.

Using traditional cutting and printing techniques, you will learn how to design, create and print an image of your own. Simple block designs or outlines work best for this method of printmaking. However, the wide range of textures and effects of printmaking gives endless possibilities to the images that can be created.

All equipment and materials will be supplied for you as well as coffee, tea and biscuits!  We will provide a range of resources for you to use, but if you prefer, you can bring any sketches, photographs or designs of your own to draw inspiration from.

Please bring an apron or old shirt to protect your clothing.

The workshop is run by Sophie Innes, a designer and printmaker with 30 years' experience in the design industry and education, now based in Shropshire.
